I don’t know about you, but here’s what I think. If people aren’t following a three day a week, 30-minutes a day recommendation what makes the government think that they’ll actually follow a five day a week, 60-minutes a day regimen?

And so your skinny jeans find their way into the closet, hanging in the back, waiting for the day that you’ll try them on again.

All the while you’re frustrated. Tired of the yo-yo dieting and the on again, off again exercise programs. Sometimes it just seems hopeless, doesn’t it?
Let me explain the vicious cycle…

See, they lie to you and get you to stock your shelves with every “fat free” and “low fat” product on the market. What they fail to tell you is that when they remove the fat, they actually load the product up with tons of sugar.

As many of you know I have been participating in a Women's Boot camp in Oregon City every morning from 5:45-6:30am….well I just had my one month "check up"….
• I have lost a total of 8 lbs.
• I have lost a total of 10.5 inches

Six months ago I was going to have Gastric Bypass but kept putting it off. When I saw the ad for the Boot Camp I figured I would try "just one more time". I thank God that I did!!!! Now I have a purpose in my life, I have an obligation every morning that I have to meet. I am also challenged. I own a Bowflex Extreme, and a very expensive clothes rack…oops I meant treadmill. I just know that when I am at home, it is easier to sleep in and say "I will do it tomorrow" well tomorrow never comes and it is still sitting there.
I also want anyone that reads this to know that I started at 250lbs, had not worked out in over 8 months, ate HORRIBLY, and had joint issues etc. It DOESN'T MATTER what size you are. The trainer works with you and you won't be alone. There are other women that are big too. Girl you won't be the only one. Don't use this as an excuse. Your life and your health are too important to risk. If I can do this anyone can.

I was struggling to sit up in bed one morning when the realization struck that I was seriously out of shape. It was only after a visit to the doctor that I realized just how dangerous the problem had become. Blood pressure-150 over 90, weight-235#, blood sugars-155 and cholesterol-255. My doctor said it very clear, "if you don't make changes, you won't live long."

I signed up for my first Better Body Boot Camp four sessions ago. It was very scary walking in that first class. I was out of breath just walking from the car to where we were starting.
At the begginging of camp one woman was asked to tell what her results were. She had lost over 35# and said she felt great. If she could do it, I thought I could. So even though I couldn't do even on push up the first day, I stuck with it.

Results! I am so excited. I now weigh 170#-65# lost in 41/2 months and still going down. My stats are all normal and I feel great! At the beginning of my 5th session, I did 39 push ups in a minute and ran a mile in just over 12 minutes. Not bad for a gal in her 60's.
